Siphoning data from Revit, Spotlight tallies the tonnages of materials used in construction and creates estimates of embodied carbon in different parts of the project.
The goal was to product a web dashboard for Project Managers to view the changes in embodied carbon and energy in a project through its design, including:
The ability to compare iterations
The ability to see changes over time
I was able to accomplish this using D3 and our MEAN stack application toolkit.
By having a continuous metric of EC/EE through the design phase of the project, PMs can be more mindful of the environmental impact of their projects.
